My Story
In the beginning I did not have a mindset to start my own business of preparing tax returns. This was something that just came to be starting in 1980. It was born from a desire to provide personalized, affordable tax preparation services to individuals and small businesses. Frustrated by the impersonal service often offered by big-box tax stores, I began helping family and friends with their tax returns, and what started as a simple favor blossomed into a dedicated business. Originally from Florida, I moved to North Carolina in 1996 but have continued my tax preparation practice in both states. In fact, I do tax preparation for people throughout the US. I hold degrees in Accounting and Finance and became an Enrolled Agent in 2019, gaining the distinction of being a federally licensed tax practitioner with unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. With over 39 years of experience in all facets of accounting, my passion for tax preparation has only grown stronger. Outside of tax season I enjoy photography, family get togethers with all the parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Our only dependent living in the house these days is our dog Chloe! At that TAX PLACE my mission is to empower clients with affordable solutions and personalized service.
